==Description==
Leonida is world-renowned for its beach resorts, amusement parks, warm and sunny climate, nautical recreation, and hosting the busiest port in the world. Attractions such as the [[Vice Beach (HD Universe)|City of Vice Beach]] are referenced throughout the series.

The state is also indirectly responsible for the moon landing conspiracy theorists<ref>Taking over Florida's original role from the indirect references to real-life {{WP|Apollo 11}} since ''[[Grand Theft Auto IV]]'' (e.g. [[Conspire]] on [[WKTT Radio]]).</ref> and the [[Leonida Man]] phenomenon on social media.

It is also known for being geographically a "flat state" and a "penis-shaped state".

==Inspiration==
It appears to be based on the real-life state of {{WP|Florida}}. The state is named after Spanish conquistador {{WP|Juan Ponce de León}}, who led the first European expedition to the Florida peninsula.
